Send an SMS to a Group

A tqAdmin (with suitable permissons) can use this procedure to send an SMS message to one or more targetable groups.

Note

The following factors might result in the total SMS messages sent being less than the total displayed group members:

If a specfic phone number appears more than once (either within one group or among selected multiple groups)
If on the Additional Information tab of the Edit Customer page, the Part of mailing-list value is No
If users were deleted from the Current Customer list but not from the Recycle Bin

At the top of the navigation panel, click to access the General module group.
On the Module toolbar, click Customer Management .
On the parallel topics menu of the Content Management page, click SMS Delivery.
On the Create New SMS page, in the To (multiple options) list, select one or more groups.
(optional) In the Phone number for replies field, type a phone number (without spaces or dashes).
In the Message field, type the text that you need (using no more than 160 characters).
Click Save.
The SMS is sent to the recipients.
